I'm alive! I'm here! I swear!
Jul. 14th, 2010 03:40 pmHello, delicious friends! (Sorry, I've been playing Echo Bazaar nonstop for about two weeks now. If you're not playing, you should! Go to echobazaar.failbettergames.com and sign in through Twitter. And then add me! Cages_or_wings on Twitter.)
My summer has been delightfully boring thus far, although mom is coming up on Friday and I do need to do so MASSIVE cleaning before she gets here because she'd throw a fit if she saw the way my room looks right now. And the bathroom. I'm a bit lazy.
So, moving. I'm officially moving to a new apartment. I have the apartment number and everything. It's upstairs and a one bedroom and I know two other people who live in the complex because they're in the library grad school program with me, so it's going to be AWESOME.
I've recently activated my Netflix account and have been watching movies like there's no tomorrow. A lot of them have been movies that I haven't seen in years, and most of them don't live up to the memory I have of them. Hunchback of Notre Dame (Disney version)? Not that great, and actually kinda dirty. Anastasia? Fairly good. The Aristocats? Still amazing.
I'm rambling because I don't have any actual news other than I'M MOVING. Roommate owes me his half of two months worth of utilities at this point. Also, he still doesn't have a car. He's currently at his house in Montgomery and I have no idea when he's coming back to move all of his stuff out or what he's taking with him. He's telling me I can have his kitchen stuff, but I have my own stuff, so most of his will probably go to the Goodwill or Salvation Army or something. I have no use for ANOTHER set of dishes. I do, however, need a coffee table and an TV stand (assuming I don't take his TV stand). I'll worry about that when I get moved. (That makes me so happy to say, and I hate moving.)
